Oita City Chuo-cho Shopping District Promotion Association

An arcade-type shopping street with a retractable dome, suitable for the entrance in front of Oita Station. Nearby are the prefectural government office, city hall, and other public offices, making it the most heavily trafficked street in the prefecture.
With shopping stores selling highly fashionable goods and the opening of the Oita Station Building and the Oita Prefectural Museum of Art in the neighborhood in April 2007, it is well known to citizens as "St. Porta Chuo-machi".
